• You can now show your appreciation for accessibilty by getting a Braille body modification or as Rob of b3ta put it readable acne. Then again it makes more sense than stuffing donuts in your forehead
• Tesco is running a hack day in August
  as they are releasing an API!
• Skills matter released the video of my placemaker talk
• There’s no party like a panda birthday party
• Google releases a list of Google Twitter accounts
• The Telegraph have a nice section of comics that show what happens When Superheroes get old
• Wikitude is the “Augmented Reality (AR) platform which allows you to browse the world and helps you discover information about places and points of interest around you.”
• Some Amazing steampunk gadgets
• Good overview over Opera’s accessibility features
• Great photos of the Eniac
• Proof that cats do control humans and not the other way around

Things that made me happy this morning:

• Reboot Britain is today and I will pop by – got a cold though :(
• GeoMaker went nuts after the coverage on TechCrunch – but stayed up
• ProgrammerFish has the source code of several Atari 7800 games – assembly FTW
• PHPSecInfo is like phpinfo() but shows you security issues in your PHP setup
• Apple now has the GPS API documentation for the iPhone
• Cool iPhone augmented reality app shows tube arrows on your camera picture
• Transormers 2 FAQ says it like it is.
• An awesome Music video stitched together from webcams
• A cougar locator in San Francisco
• The periodic table of typefaces

• My cold is getting better (I was flat for two days, annoying that)
• There, I fixed it is what most of my flat looks like
• Teenager swaps iPod for Sony Walkman for a week and finds out amazing things like tapes not supporting shuffle.
• The Pirate Bay releases a video portal and runs the whole thing on HTML5 they are asking for help, of course
• Some wonderful analogies from high school essays – probably fake, but still very funny
• The data collected by the Hubble Telescope is available as datasets – if I ever understand any of that I will start doing some mashups

• Google’s best PHP practices when it comes to performance are getting quite some flak from the PHP community this is good. Especially when Google take the info and upgrade the docs quickly.
• There’s a complaint that you “need to use two hands to turn on the private (porn) mode in Firefox”:https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=248970. True, this can’t be in alignment of the use case.
• An interesting survey showing the tech industry hot spots in the US

• Older people playing Wii and going for it
• Beautiful poster design proposals for the 2012 olympics
• Build your own starship enterprise either from an old Floppy Disk or from other random office supplies
• The ten commandments as text messages

Tech stuff

• An interesting wrapper solution for embedding video with HTML5 and fallbacks for older browsers
• Tristan says as it is the web is hackable
• Microsoft know how to fix issues – just move your mouse

Things that made me happy this morning:

• Getting a new flight booking to Web Directions North after all flights had been canceled yesterday
• Knowing that we are safe as there are Real Super Heroes amongst us – I think the most useful is red arrow although pointing at your crotch is not decent – then again this is what ties do.
• WaSP reporting on the findings or WebAim Screen Reader Survey
• An interesting video of John Resig explaining just how broken DOM support in browsers really is on the YDN theater.
• Obviously having done a great job styling TweetEffect – why else would the newer TweetActive looks ever so slightly similar?
• Some good info by the lovely (Mother) Henny of Opera on Nintendo Wii as a rehab device
• An archive of all the vanity cards at the end of The Big Bang Theory episodes

I believe that inherent within the God-given right to the pursuit of happiness, is the equally God-given right to the pursuit of unhappiness. That is why I support gay marriage.
