Things that made me happy this morning:

• 8 bit trip is a 1500 hour work stop-motion movie with lego bricks.
• James Gibbons collected a great list of assistive technology videos
• Labuat has a wonderful interactive song and ink thing in Flash
• If you need a UK postcode API there is Ernest Maples
• SVGWeb is a wrapper library for SVG that renders MSIE results in Flash
• The boy who heard too much is a very cool story about the blind phreaker “Lil’ hacker”
• The enigma machine in Java is fun to play with
• An attempt at version control for HTML using ins and del elements
• Codepad is much like pastebin.com but also executes and validates the code you share in it

Things that made me happy this morning:

• 10 steps to organising a barcamp has great info on exactly that
• the social mention API covers several social networks and allows you to search for keyterms
• I want the 8gb Lego minifig thumb drive
• A great peek into the process how classic computer games were built including Mario, Tetris and Pong
• A Stormtrooper singing in the rain
• A great list of open datasets
• Undop is a tool to stop you from wasting too much time on those sites that normally make you do that
• Skulpt is a Python parser in the browser – whoa!
• The Google Wave API roadmap is now available
• The YouTube Data API now supports captions

• A great flickr collection of Lego Minifig re-enactments of classic photos
• The w3c showing some very dry twitter humour
• How to fake time travel using twitter
• Gez Lemon shows how to create accessible drag and drop using ARIA.
• YQL is now not only read but also insert,update and delete.
• A great but also very graphic video and campaign about Motor Neurone Disease – MND
• The BBC finally released their JavaScript library Glow as open source.
• Slickmap is a CSS to show sitemaps in a very nice fashion.
• A proposal for Anti paparazzi clothes and accessories
• A Nice tongue-in-cheek minimal CSS framework
• A proposal by Yahoo to open source one of our Apache mods – geared for high traffic sites
• SoundAmp – an application for the iPhone turns the device into something of a hearing -aid. Whilst this does not really help the hard of hearing I love that somebody thought about using the microphone of the iPhone as an input and thought about accessibility.

Things that made me happy this morning:

• Working for Lego is every kid’s dream. If you look at their ‘business cards’ you know why
• Matt Snider has information about an Apache Ant script to consolidate CSS and JavaScript in a build process – seems to be loosely connected with the work Julien Lecomte has done on the same subject
• When Mitch Haile builds his own office he doesn’t do things half-way. His office setup is impressive and bordering on the mental.
• Jane Finette of Mozilla released their community marketing guide
• The Nosh brothers have great etiquette advice what to do when someone dies during your dinner
• shlomo has a sobering thought about our lives being both empowering and pitiful

Things that made me happy this morning

• Arriving in Denver in time to deliver my talk at WDN - only 7 hours in the lounge made it possible
• New York Lego bricks I love the pepper mill
• Accessify offers an easy youtube caption creator and asks for feedback
• The Opera Web Standards Curriculum now has a JavaScript section – yeah I’ll finish the missing article soon
• An interesting blog post on how to blog when you got nothing to talk about
